Incorporating LYH's JIT work

I'm sorry you have been somewhat neglected.

I would like to work into integrating your JIT work into Octave, but
it seems like it's too late for it to go into the upcoming release.
Regardless, can you be available in IRC over the next few days so we
can coordinate? I will need your help, and it's easier for me to do it
in real time.
