I totally agree, the next step would be translating the documentation, a
huge effort. Therefore I suggest to translate just the gui related
strings for the moment.

Since we have string freeze, I am going to submit a bug report for the
"About Octave" translation and the qt-internal strings in dialog boxes etc.
