What are those debug messages from?

I downloaded octave-3.8.0-rc1.tar.gz and unziped it
./configure
make -j5
./run-octave --force-gui

I don't see those messages and I'm not sure what's causing them.  Can you cut and paste the whole error messsage?  Your image only shows part of the message.

I do see messages like this

  (process:4762): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion `sys_page_size == 0' failed

when I follow a link that opens in an external browser.  This looks like it might be a bug in firefox/iceweasel, but I'm not sure.

What should in install to get rid of these warnings??
