As we agree, and to keep the page ordered, I suggest to put at the beginning
three (or maybe four) main targets:
1) Building for linux system => this subpage should then be contain a few
big categories like f.i.
-Debian and derivatives (Ubuntu, Mint, ...)
-Redhat and derivatives (CentOS, Fedora)
-Gentoo and derivatives
-Slackware and derivatives (didn't follow them recently -- is this branch
stil alive  ?)
-Others (Arch, Linux from Scratch, ...)
2) Building for MacOs X platform
3) Building on Microsoft Windows Platform
  - Mingw
  - Cygwin
4) Building on BSD platform

Then the table with package name, package role, licence, and CVE concerns.
This is generic and should be kept at the first level.

Reza, could you transfer the part about debian and Arch to some relevant
subpage ?

Regards

Pascal

Ok I moved the package names to [1]. Could you please provide additional package names for the other distributions (or anyone with this distribution). I also included a "Feauture" column in the main table to provide information about the features which depend on this library. I don't have much knowledge about this. Perhaps some of the devs have to put info in there.
