Please try the patch in attachment and let me know.

I haven't pushed it yet because I'm having some trouble with sourceforge.

You should be able to install it using the

>> pkg install fem-fenics.tar.gz

once that you have set the CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS as Carlo suggested.

(Is there any way in which I can automatize it ? )
