Hi there, thank you for your help Ouzounis. I've installed all of the packages mentioned in the link (http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnu.octave.bugs/29133), but it didnt change something. I Still get the same error messages when running make: http://pastebin.com/TsnfStRf . In the output of ./configure I also can not find any hint for what makes the documentation compilation fail: http://pastebin.com/ji8w5xCv . Btw, an octave documentation pdf is generated, but I'm not able to run 'checkinstall' because of the errors.
Any Ideas? ...Christian Am 04.03.2014 13:57, schrieb Ouzounis_Georgios:
Hello Christian, I had the same problem with you. I found out that Octave has many prerequisites in order to build it on your machine. I found a list of them in the following link : http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnu.octave.bugs/29133 . Also you may want to have a look at the warnings shown at the end of ./configure command. There are some things you might need to install there too. Installing some of them worked for me.
