Hello, I am Sai Prasanna Rath. I am pursuing my engineering now in India. And I have access to internet without any problem.
I am interested in contributing with the new packages included in the idea 'Geometric Integrators for Hamiltonian Systems'. I went through the details of the idea and will like to inform that I am familiar with most of those numerical methods. Moreover, I have been using MATLAB for 1 n half years and also comfortable with OCTAVE usage as the coding required is much similar in both the cases.
My queries related to this idea are:
1. What is expected to do when it is asked for 'Consistency of the function interface throughout the package and should follow in the order of other functions in odepkg?' I am bit ambiguous with its implication.. So please help.
2. What is 'Specific extensions to accommodate for specific option' referred to?
3. Any additive specification to the idea?
I am referring to the book that was mentioned in the ideas page'Structure-Preserving Algorithms for Ordinary Differential Equations' which is available in our library fortunately. The concepts are quite clearly given. I need some guidance and that will be helpful.
