I notice that currently Ctrl-Q and Ctrl-O are listed under the GUI "File" dropdown menu, but have no action _when the main window is in focus_. If the editor window is in focus, these two shortcut keys work.

A few folks have inquired about some projects to get started on contributing. Might addressing that be a good project to start with? It's small, but at the same time might take a week for someone to do who's not yet familiar with the code and mercurial. The fix is either a case of removing those shortcuts from menu, or figuring out how to make them functional because currently control keys are processed by the terminal command line.

There is a bigger issue, too, about how to properly configure signals so that the exit process isn't halted by the pager (or is halted with dialog box in the case a program is running), but that might be a bit too much for someone new (or experienced for that matter).
