GNU Octave 4.0 introduces several regressions related to the @class data type: 

isequal - bug #44334
isvector - bug #44498
isscalar - bug #43925
Nobody has answered the reports in the bug tracker. I guess that now it is too late and the regressions are not going to be fixed until the final 4.0 release and therefore break some functionality for a certain time?! If so, several package maintainers must consider to write workarounds for 4.0 compatibility.
