I tried this command:

$ cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep "model name"
=> model name    : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
(repeated 8 times)

"i7-3770" has Ivy Bridge microarchitecture as far as I can see.
"NEHALEM" is not suitable for my PC.

In the issue of binutils, you said,
> If you finished mxe build, you have dist/octave-4.0.0/bin directory.
but I can't find "mxe-octave/dist" dir.

I tried the following commands:

$ find mxe-octave/ -name dist
# no output

$ find mxe-octave/ -name octave-4.0.0
mxe-octave/octave/root/mxe-octave/usr/include/octave-4.0.0
mxe-octave/octave/root/mxe-octave/usr/bin/octave-4.0.0
mxe-octave/usr/include/octave-4.0.0
mxe-octave/usr/bin/octave-4.0.0
# but they don't have "bin" at all

So, I can't execute "ld", either.
