Could some of you provide me the following information, for my attempt to make the 'parallel' package at least provide some of its functions for platforms except GNU/Linux, especially if built or cross-built for Windows? - Is it possible to encounter something different than g++ capable to compile Octave at such platforms? If yes, what is the equivalent to 'g++ -dumpmachine'? - What does 'g++ -dumpmachine' (or equivalent) output for your non-GNU/Linux system (capable to compile Octave or Octave packages) or for cross-building? (Currently I assume that the triplet contains 'mingw' or 'cygwin' for Windows.) - Can you copy the attached files into a directory, produce 'configure' by calling 'autoconf', run configure, and post its output and the produced 'Makefile' and 'config.h'? (And information on what non-GNU/Linux system you have of course.) Thanks, Olaf -- public key id EAFE0591, e.g. on x-hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net
