@Lachlan: thanks, that is pretty much all I meant.

@Doug: I agree QtHelp system is the way to go for the documentation browser.
Nevertheless someone willing to read a section (yes there are people who do
that :-)) to have an overview of a subject like plotting, ends up scrolling
through a list of seemingly uncorrelated function helps.

Yes I think I see your point now.


In the manual there is a section named "Functions and Scripts"
and inside of that is "11.1 Introduction to Function and Script Files"

 In this chapter there is lots of text without any "help strings".
If we just look at this chapter, what would you suggest needs doing?
