*If the program is not in the directory,*

Unfortunately, this is only the general email contact for the FSF and the GNU
Project, and we are unable to answer this question, and I’m afraid I don’t
personally know of the answer to your question. My best suggestion would be to
contact the project mailinglists or the project’s maintainer to see if they can
give you any help. This information is typically listed on the project's
homepage.

+####How can I burn a GNU/Linux boot CD for computer using Vista for a hard
drive that is already partitioned for it?
+I assume you want to install GNU/Linux. You will need to download a .ISO image
of your GNU/Linux distribution of choice, such as
http://cdimage.gnewsense.org/gnewsense-livecd-1.0.iso and then you will need to
burn this CD. A tool such as infrarecord (http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/
should do the trick. Best of luck.
+
+####Which hardware do you recommend?
+We are glad to hear about your initiative! At http://www.fsf.org/resources/hw
you will find a list of the devices that support GNU/Linux. You can also see
the Linuxbios-supported motherboards at
http://linuxbios.org/Supported_Motherboards.
+
+####Link between the FSF and GNU Project
+FSF remains the primary sponsor of the GNU Project. In addition to the
services provided by Savannah for GNU projects, FSF provides development
systems for GNU-software maintainers, including full e-mail and shell services.
We are committed to furthering the development of the GNU Operating System and
enabling volunteers to easily contribute to that work.
+
+####Changes to the GNU Project in Toto
+*In addition to sending the message below, please, fit the suggestion into the
FSF/GNU knowledge base in this wiki.*
+Thank you for the message! The GNU Project is much bigger than just the FSF,
since the GNU Project is composed of thousand of individuals the world over.
The best thing to do to see changes to the GNU Project in general is to
subscribe and write to the gnu-misc-discuss mailinglist. You can subscribe at
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnu-misc-discuss. This way you can appeal
directly to the members of the GNU Project, who ultimately have control over
the direction the project takes.
