Arnie,
For easily creating HDR images, Photogenics HDR supports controlling various
Canon cameras via USB, you just plug in the camera, tell it how many exposures
to take over what range, and Photogenics will then automatically take all the
shots, download and delete the images from the camera, and present you with
the final HDR image for editing. These Canon cameras support saving in 10bit
RAW linear mode, so no are no response curves to plot, and each shot packs
much more detail than normal. Because images are buffered to the card, it
only takes a few seconds per exposure instead of minutes.
The beta version of Photogenics 7.0 also supports the OpenEXR format, in
addition to almost every other HDR format in use. Details of version 6.0 can
be found at http://www.idruna.com/photogenicshdr.html , or email me for
details on the new 7.0.
Thanks,
