Where are you located Pax...or what area are you wanting to do Telecine
in? We've done a few experiments with some telecine houses & OpenEXR by
bringing in our own computer gear (which was setup beforehand to make the
best usage of the OpenEXR format during Telecine). That being said, they
were just experiments.

Most of our live action work is done in the HDCAM-SR or DVCPRO-HD
acquisition formats with grading & postwork done in OpenEXR, but we rarely
handle the final film-out process.

We are currently working on an animated sitcom that utilizes OpenEXR in
every phase of production. OpenEXR fits our needs quite nicely as the
filesizes are fairly lightweight while maintaining a nice level of
flexibility. This show is being created entirely on Mac's with Lightwave
(and a little bit of Maya) as the 3D portion of the pipeline (both of
which are OpenEXR capable). The show is mastered to HDCAM for
distribution.

By the way, the products from Iridas are a godsend, and while SpeedGrade
is still in a beta form, it promises to be a wonderful/affordable solution
for grading and will hopefully feature OpenEXR support in the final.
