Hi!
Yes, I'm using the latest cvs and chip and dale bug exists with a mx-300
card and redhat 9 system and gcc 3.3 if that matters. It's an athlon
board with via chipset, esd killed and using gnome, I installed the alsa
modules, unload the old binary driver, restart x, manually load the oss
modules of alsa. Everytime the cvs is being changed I make a sync in
hope of this bug has gone.

ps: two things that I will try out, remove the mem=nopentium line from
grub ( I use the binary nvidia modules and this line is needed to not
hang the machine) and remove the setpci line form the rc.local script.
