Well, looks like you're missing these from alsa-kernel/pci/ac97/Makefile
        obj-$(CONFIG_SND_AU8810) += snd-ac97-codec.o
        obj-$(CONFIG_SND_AU8820) += snd-ac97-codec.o
        obj-$(CONFIG_SND_AU8830) += snd-ac97-codec.o

which I think are still necessary for the module to load correctly. 
Otherwise it looks okay to me, i.e. I built it and it didn't break
anything.  Sorry, I don't have an AU8810 though, so someone else will
have to comment on that.
