Currently when Pan starts up it scans the cache and folders building a list of files in memory. The more files you have the longer it will take Pan to start. I've decided to have Pan store the cache info in a persistent db. Once the db is built Pan should start almost imediately, this is the main benifit. If you have a lot of files in the cache & folders, say >5000, there may also be a decrease in memory usage though I can't be certain since I don't have that many files.

The buid system has been changed to look for sqlite3>=3.0.3 using pkg-config. You will need to build sqlite3 with --enable-threadsafe. The patch is against cvs, automake & autoconf will have to be run.

When sqlite3 is out of beta I will put an updated patch on bugzilla.
