Well yes, I know this.  What I was trying to say is version 0.11.92 (and cvs) 
no longer appears to provide this option.

Another option that seems to have been dropped is the shift-M option for 
'mark thread read'.  Nothing in the menus for this anymore either.  This 
means one now has to expand a thread and select all the articles in it, then 
press 'M' to mark them read.  A tad more work for lazy folk like me.
