Hopefully it will be resolved soon. The older version of libgnet
required to build pan is currently sitting in the upload queue, waiting
to get approved.

I've advertised in on this mailing list, and assumed that that would
suffice.

It doesn't. And that wouldn't be a solution either, since the problem is
with libgnet being upgraded in Unstable, rendering pan unbuildable in
current Debian Unstable.
