Oh good; I *had* noticed that I didn't have to go get it off the Net in my
RH / FC OSs.

Before I managed to get linux, let alone connect it, I ran Opera under
MegaScat to get used to it; nowadays I've got friends running both Opera
and Firefox, just to get away from the Evil One's browser. If I end up
having to run MS again in order to use my investment in proprietary
GPS/topo map software, I'll also have one or both of them for downloading
updates. 

I hadn't realized Pan ran under MS -- and won't use a reader even
if I do ever run MS again, nor connect to the Net in any other way for a
minute longer than I need -- but I'm glad to know, and will pass the word
to less enlightened friends.
