I don't run CVS, so haven't seen this myself, but someone did report it to
the list perhaps a month ago.  Apparently, there's no check to see if
there's actually an attachment there, to save, before it attempts to save
it.  The result is probably an attempt to access either uninitialized
memory, or memory address 0.

I've seen no hint that CVS is getting close to a beta release.  This is
likely one of several rough edges that would need to be polished up at
least minimally, before such a beta, or in any case, before a "stable
release, if it wasn't caught for the beta.
