Hmm, it won't let me install libgtk2.0-dev and its dependencies:
# apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev libcairo2-dev libcairo2
libpixman-1-dev libpixman-1-0

libcairo2 is already the newest version.
libcairo2 set to manually installed.
libpixman-1-0 is already the newest version.
libpixman-1-0 set to manually installed.
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libcairo2-dev : Depends: libcairo2 (= 1.8.10-6) but 1.10.2-7~bpo60+1 is
to be installed
libpixman-1-dev : Depends: libpixman-1-0 (= 0.16.4-1) but
0.24.0-1~bpo60+1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
Even without them, I was able to get farther now. Now, it is complaining
GMIME so I installed libgmime-2.6-0 and libgmime-2.6-dev packages (v2.4
and v2.0 were there, but I went with the latest version).
I got farther, and even more!
