This is the package I maintain:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/binaries?package=parallel&project=home%3Atange&repository=xUbuntu_10.04
I do not think there is a package officially part of Ubuntu yet - I
will be happy to be proved wrong.
Since it is a simple Perl script you can most likely use the package
for any version of Ubuntu.
