Hmm, I hesitate.
The first example is meant to be (safely) copy/pasted in a text
editor.
The FlateEncode'd stream is followed by instructions on how to
reproduce it with 'pdf-filter' (encode and decode).
In addition handling arbitrary files with MediaWiki is usually a mess
(stored as Image:something, etc.) and this requires to maintain those
files as the examples are changed (e.g. to add comments, to introduce
the % operator).
Maybe this would make people feel safer though, since they might mess
the copy/paste or the pdf-filter compilation, but they generally don't
mess downloading a file.
Can you try to precise what made you wish for those links?
