   And indeed, I get:

     Upload warning
     ".pdf" is not a recommended image file format.

   It isn't just a warning, it prevents from uploading the file :/

   How should we attach a PDF to the wiki?

I told the mediawiki installation to allow .pdf uploads. It should
work now :)
