Summary:  conexant hsf modem.

connecter avec mon modem interne conexant hcf 56k

Great News:

It seems that a previous invocation of another modem-using program changed some 
parameters and interfered with pengfork.

pengfork (not PengAol) works for me with hsflinmodem!

As I live in Germany I had to change some config variables:

Checking options:
  screen_name1 = (hidden)
  password1 = (hidden)
  debug_level = 5
  modem_device = /dev/ttySHSF0
  phone = 01914
  server_login = aolnet
  server_pass = A0L2aNet

Everything seems fine now and you can consider closing this bug, since pengfork 
works.

I have the same problems with both PengAol and pengfork. I think its really a 
bug in the hsf-linmodem driver, because its known that only certain dialers 
work with the driver (see: http://www.mbsi.ca/cnxtlindrv/hsf/limitations.html)

Nevertheless I'd be very glad if the basic dial-in code of a working dialer 
could be reused ("pppd call" works for me).

I'll try to provide more debugging informaion later, since I'm currently 
dialed-in via pppd ...

I had the same problem with a conexant hsf modem. When I tried to connect to 
AOL, pengaol stopped with the message "opening a session on the network". 
But now I have an external Elsa-modem and it works.
