I am still looking into this, mainly due to scheduling with work.  I
looked into the flight times, and it appears to be a 10 hour flight,
including a 1 hour layover in paris.

The only chance I have at this point, is if I where to take off from
work from Thursday, Friday, then the following Monday ... and of
course, having the weekend available.  Is this conference only during
weekdays, or will it happen on the weekend as well ?  Will this only
be a 1 day event, then just meet up with each other at CeBit ?
