i think that shared functions between the 2 apps and generic time
functions in calendar should go to phpgwapi... that would allow apps to
manage time things with the same backend so that deadlines, tasks and
othe things like that could appear (or not appear if filtered) using a
generic calendar view.

but i think merging todo and calendar would limit the potential of both.
rather i'd propose to extend todo so that it becomes a powerful project
management  app.
