heya i want to run php groupware over a lan there are 6 computers and none are

what i would like 2 no is:
1) list of all the things i will need 2 do this
a database (mysql and postgresql are best support but others will work
too), php4 with xml support and support for whatever database you
choose, and for email, access to an email server for your domain. for
6 user even a p166 with 64 meg can be made to work, but as always,
more ram and a faster CPU is always helpful.
2) the process of compleating this (preferbly in simple steps)
http://docs.phpgroupware.org/html/install/ this is also linked form
teh Downloads page at phpgroupware.org
3) is there any point in using php groupware or is there some better software
out there (free) that would be better
there are other groupware suites, which is "better" depends on your
needs (or lack of them). Most groupware systems I've seen want to be
full mail servers which would require fetchmail or something if you
don't want to host the email on your Internet connection.
phpGroupWare has the advantage of running acceptably on older, slower,
hardware and being a simple databased backed system which makes
backups very easy.
