Pierre, a developer for the Darwine project, has been working on the Mac os x port. The last version I played with, which was a few months ago, has a few major bugs that gave a segmentation fault with trying to launch the linux image on the qemu site. I don't think Pierre has had a lot of time to work on fixing the problems. There is a version of the port, not sure how up to date it is with Pierre's version in the cvs at http://cvs.opendarwin.org/index.cgi/projects/darwine/related/.

Hi all,

I saw in the FAQ at your site that qemu is being ported to Mac OS X.  The only info it gives is that it is "not usable yet."  I was just curious as to how this is coming; it would be nice to run something (other than bochs, which I can't really figure out, and seems really slow) in OS X that emulates x86.  Also, from what I know, the darwine project (http://darwine.opendarwin.org) plans to use qemu, not bochs, for x86 emulation.  So it seems that the qemu OS X port would affect the progress here.  If anyone has even a rough idea of how the port is going, I'd like to know.

Thanks, and sorry if this has already been asked recently.
