Still no luck. In /usr/portage/media-libs/libsdl/libsdl-1.2.7-r1.ebuild I
have added 'static' to IUSE, and then added `use_enable static` \ to the
econf line. After "emerge libsdl" I was not able qemu-fast.

But thanks for the tips, did anyone succeed in compiling qemu-fast on Gentoo?
