Which version of Wine do you use for this tests ? If it's a recent one, maybe all the 'hacks' added to support various new features in modern distributions (exec-shield, pre-load, NPTL, ...) break Wine on QEMU.
I'm using the version that's distributed on the QEMU website. Perhaps not all of the necessary libs are included? I haven't access to an x86 Linux box to get them, unfortunately.
