What do you mean by 'generic interface' ? The ability to set the IRQ/IOMEM/DMA
of various devices (NE2K, SB16, etc)? That would be very useful.
qmu looks like Q - Mu to me (where Q is the letter Q and Mu is the Greek letter
mu).
