Hi all,
I just try Windows XP on QEMU, it works.
Really slowly (I can not run the qemu-fast [nor on w98]), but it works.
I do the following actions :
Windows XP Pro:
+++++++++++++++
$ mkdir wXP
$ cd wXP/
Cree le disque systeme C: de 2Go
$ dd of=hdXP.img bs=1024 seek=2000000 count=0
$ qemu -m 128 -cdrom /dev/cdrom -hda hdXP.img -boot d
Lancement de XP
$ qemu -hda hdXP.img -boot c -m 128 -n /etc/qemu-ifup
I do the install with FAT to try.
Do you want a screenshot ?
I use en Linux Debian with a 2.6.7 Kernel, QEMU 0.6.0-2 Debian package .
(small bug : QEMU ask to go in 2.6 kernel or to put the rtc at 1024 and
I am on 2.6 kernel...)
Do you want more informations ?
I can not run QEMU fast : it hang and I need to kill -9 it. The screen
show some beautiful grey bars. I don't know why.
Hope this help.
