Hi,
This version adds SMP support to Proll for Qemu. It's probably not very
useful for real hardware, probing for CPUs is not realistic.
Using latest Qemu from CVS and for example vmlinuz-2.2.17-14smp from Red
Hat, 4-way SMP shows some promise:
POSIX conformance testing by UNIFIX
Entering SMP Mode...
Starting CPU 1 at f019ad04
Calibrating delay loop... 181.04 BogoMIPS
Starting CPU 2 at f019ad10
Calibrating delay loop... 181.45 BogoMIPS
Starting CPU 3 at f019ad1c
Calibrating delay loop... 182.68 BogoMIPS
Total of 4 Processors activated (727.86 BogoMIPS).
IOMMU: impl 0 vers 4 page table at f03c0000 of size 262144 bytes
The kernel hangs before reaching userland, even with -smp 1. Could be a
problem with atomic instructions. Any suggestions?
I'll send the Proll binary only to Qemu list.
More developers with Sparc experience would be most welcome.
