The 'FreeBSD Workaround' can best be explained by this: http://fxr.watson.org/fxr/source/dev/usb/uhub.c?v=RELENG6#L83The data for the status change enpdoint in FreeBSD's uhub layer is a fixed byte. This is of course incorrect and the patch compensates slightly for this in order to allow the driver to at least run.
