Especially when adding a new option there needs to be documentation

The original patch (which was out of the tree for 5 years or so) had a
57 lines readme on the subject, once i came up with something more
succint it would be added.

The options parsing code can lead you to the invalid vga tag, but there
is not clue on what is valid, except by reading the code.  The current
error message would be "Unknown vga type: std", when the error had to do
with precise.

No it wouldn't. The error message would look like: 'Unknown vga type:
std<rest of the line>', yes this could be improved, exactly how i don't
know yet, hence this.
