I work for Intel on the edk2.tianocore.org project. Related
to QEMU & UEFI, I am working on this project:
https://edk2.tianocore.org/OVMF.html

So, I would like to see 0.12 support UEFI, and it'd be great
if our OVMF project could enable this.

Related to OVMF I submitted this patch in August:
http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/31009/
I hope this patch would enable QEMU to ship the legacy
bochs BIOS, and OVMF. The user would be able to select
the OVMF UEFI firmware via the -M command line parameter.
