On second though, my previous advise is only suited for people adding
new instruction set architectures in QEMU,
if you're MIPS core doesn't add new instructions then take I'd look at:
hw/mips_mipssim.c
hw/mips_jazz.c
and add the missing platform peripheral emulation?
