So what's a typical invocation for this?  Is:

qemu-system-ppc64 -m pseries foo.img -nographics
If you run an image that requires firmare, you also need to pass in -m with at 
least 512MB, otherwise yes, that's how it works :).


Here's the output on the serial console. Looks like it's in a tight loop probably writing \r or something and redrawing the prompt which our console emulation doesn't like.
