Yeah, I realized it right after sending the email.
Unfortunately there is also a regression in Xen, similar to the one
fixed by 23550, that causes PV on HVM guests to hang during boot at the
moment.
The offending commit is CS 23573:
"replace d->nr_pirqs sized arrays with radix tree"
