A message like "FOO is deprecated" should always accompanied by advice
on preferred usage".  Example:

    $ qemu-img create -e
    qemu-img: option -e is deprecated, please use '-o encryption' instead!

Nice and helpful (apart from the uncalled-for exclamation mark).
