Actually I observe a regression in the patch 13/25 (which btw seems
not to have make it to the list).
A quick attempt to debug it didn't succeed: from a log it looks like
the corruption happens after a 'nop' instruction, and setting a
breakpoint changes the behavior (optimizer bug?)
I'll send you a reproducer off list.
