I don't follow ARM (...Sorry Jon Masters...) but from a cursory glance at the Wikipedia, it looks like that's the name of the instruction set that ARM themselves gave it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#64.2F32-bit_architecture
So it makes sense to anybody who works in that space, and temporarily confuses the willies out of us poor x86 saps.
