be great to add the translate() and contains() function on the wish list too

I'm not currently working on it, though it is of course on the wishlist.
A complete implementation of path expressions is actually fairly high on 
my priority list, and I am putting some thought to it, but I can't (or 
won't) make any promises about when anything will be implemented (unless 
I have a contract to implement something - which I don't, alas).
