Hi All,

Decided to write to this list as well and participate in the development of this plugin somehow, although I’m not really a developer.

So another problem I encountered during testing (v2.1a Beta 1) was the incorrect subnet mask generation from CIDR in routes received form RADIUS.

I just rewrote the bit that converts the mask, please find the patch attached (the last line of the patch also includes the dirty hack to use the received routes for pushing them client-side instead of applying locally).

Also I’d be glad to discuss how we can transfer both client-side and server-side routes via RADIUS, as I’d be glad for this functionality to be available upstream. Maybe someone already made the patches I’m not aware of.

In general this plugin adds quite interesting functionality to OpenVPN, I’m thinking about several possible uses of it, especially in conjunction with Active Directory integration – it took me just a few hours to make a test setup integrated with microsoft’s radius server sending routes based on group membership and using AD’s certificate infrastructure. This works pretty cool and would integrate nicely with our existing infrastructure. The simplicity of the plugin made it easy for a person like me who never wrote code in C++ to modify it to my needs. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this piece of software!

Regards,

Evgheni
