Hi all,
Hoping someone else ahs come across this before and can help.
Every now and again (usually after no problem for 6 hours or so),
ratpoison decides to crash on me with a message:
"Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x4aa1)!"
The message is the same but the seqeunce number I get is usually
different (I think..).
Any I had debugging turned on and the last message came from
main.c line 148. Connecting to it with gdb gives me the address of
where it is hung:
0x400514bd, which as much as I can guess will be in the Xlib library.
Doing a bt indicates the address before this was:
0x8050ec5.
Question is two part I guess, anyone know why this happens?
(I am guessing it is cause by the XSync call, but nfi why) and
also how I set up the makefile to give me debugging symbols (so I have
some chance of fixing this next time it occurs.)
Cheers,
Benno
