[RP] resize bug roundup

using the current devel snapshot there are a number of resize bugs which
occur only with specific apps. I have no idea how or if they are related
to each other.

xterm:
does not properly get window size. ncurses apps are messed up.
:redisplay fixes this.

gvim:
does not use whole space alloted to it about 90% of the time. :redisplay
does not fix this, but a split unsplit does.

citrix client (connecting to outlook):
all sorts of messing up. sometimes works perfectly, sometimes refuses to
change sizes. :redisplay SOMETIMES helps. splitting/unsplitting
sometimes helps. clicking the windows maximize/unmaximize sometimse
helps. eventually nothing works. also, certain types of tooltip windows
(not all) cause the client to minimize as the tooltip takes over the
screen but then you are no longer over the tooltip so the outlook window
comes back and it flips back and forth all fast-like.

the xterm one sounds like something that plauged ion as well, windows
that are popped up at a different size than expected get confused. not
sure about the others though. perhaps a 'super-redisplay' is needed
which resizes the window a pixel smaller then back again. and perhaps a
setting to cause windows to cause certain windows to be
auto-super-redisplayed after they are mapped... hmm..
