Thank you. I also don't think it's a bug or something in ratpoison, but
rather a design mismatch between these two programs (maybe.)

Completely agree.
Actually I would use the 'uzbl' browser (which is also a webkit-based
one) but I find it difficult to configure to emacs key bindings at this
point.
